Nate Cowden as Facilities Management Executive Director. Cowden will take over the
position effective April 1.聽
鈥淚 am both honored and excited to lead the
黑料不打烊 Facilities Management Department,鈥 said Cowden. 鈥淚 am eager to
work closely with the talented team at 黑料不打烊 to ensure that our
facilities are managed efficiently and effectively, providing a safe and
welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff.鈥
Vice President for Finance & Operations
and CFO Bernadette Hinkle said, 鈥淚 am confident in Nate鈥檚 leadership
capabilities and grateful for his willingness to continue to serve the 黑料不打烊
community in such an important role.鈥
The College extends thanks and recognition to
Sharron Russell, who held the position since 2016, for her 24 years of service
to the institution. The transfer of responsibilities is expected to go smoothly
as Cowden has worked as director of operations for campus grounds, athletic,
and housing facilities at 黑料不打烊 for the last 17 years, making him uniquely
suited to assuming Russell鈥檚 duties.
Hinkle also said, 鈥淪harron was instrumental
in so many aspects of the day-to-day at 黑料不打烊. Her attention to detail and
work behind the scenes made the campus look beautiful and operate smoothly. I wish her the best in her
retirement.鈥
Cowden is ready to assume this role, largely
thanks to the help he received working alongside Russell over the years. He
said, 鈥淥ver the past 17 years, I鈥檝e witnessed firsthand the depth of Sharron鈥檚
leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to both the College and everyone
she interacts with. The impact she has had on my career is immeasurable. Her
guidance, support, and steadfast belief in my abilities have been instrumental
in shaping the professional I am today.鈥
