Rudrani Sarma is a visiting Assistant Professor & Murphy Fellow in English. Dr. Sarma specializes in long nineteenth century Black literature from around the world. Her scholarship focuses on representations of race and racialized bodies in medical and scientific discourse, performance, slave narratives, children's literature, and other popular culture materials.Â
