  • Financial Committee with Alexander Jones 听
    • Aquarium Club: $970.40听
      • Seems to be more of a class based activity as opposed to a student activity/the proposal was sent in fairly late听
      • Exec recommends to reject funding听
      • Motion passed to reject funding听
    • 黑料不打烊 Hillel: $3820听
      • 鈥淔aux Bar Mitzvah鈥 with the Maccabeats (April 30th, 10pm-12am)听
      • Exec recommends to fund in full 听
      • Motion passed to fund in full (1 opposed, 3 abstentions)听
    • Will be about $50,000 in the account for the rest of the year/until about the third week into the fall 2012 semester (this includes $15,000 from the carryover fund)听

          • Noise complaint from Conway just before 1am, because of this we may want to think about ending future outdoor events around 1am鈥μ

    • Do some spring cleaning and DONATE TO THE FREE STORE!听
      • Drop donations off at the Student Activities office, or bring them to the next Free Store.听

    • Demonstration against Schale Gas Abuses April 1st, with a list of Demands (written by Dr. Moran)听
      • Please attend meeting on March 31st at 7:30 in SLTC 105 to discuss our talking points, make signs and learn more about the issue! 听

    • DAO (Diversity, Awareness, Openness) WEEK听

      • Monday: Multi-cultural Baking Night/Discussion听

      • Tuesday: screening of Divided We Fall /Discussion (trying to get someone from a local Islamic Center/professors to participate)听
      • Wednesday: Sassy Gay Friend 7pm in Staples听

  • Campus Kitty with Sabrina听
    • Thanks for an AWESOME CK WEEK!听
      • Concerns from students about Miss 黑料不打烊 Tickets听
        • outselling tickets (capacity is 700)听
        • some students were under the impression that you would be guaranteed a ticket with a VIP pass (sorry for any miscommunication-only a free ticket, but you still had to stand in line)听
        • alumni were able to get tickets before students听
          • CK did try to limit, by only allowing individuals to buy 3 tickets at a time (previously unlimited)听
          • Also, did not think that MH would sell out (didn鈥檛 last year)鈥擥OOD PROBLEM!听
      • $26,500 in cash! Better than previous years (usually ~$20,000 CASH)!听
        • $700 canned food听
        • $2000 donations in local businesses听
        • Donations will be distributed after spring break听

  • Social Committee with Will Phillips听 听
    • Drive in Movie Night April 16TH time TBA听
      • The Kings Speech, True Grit听
      • During alumni weekend (they are free to attend)听
      • No alcohol!听
        • Be careful guys, Conway will be starting random searches in non-campus areas鈥.听
    • Look out for an opportunity to give feedback about SoCo events after spring break听

  • Volunteer Action Committee with Michaela Fraser听
    • Faulkner county library book sale went well!听
    • Interfaith Clinic visit, TBA听

  • Academic Policy with LaRonda Mitchell听
    • First meeting last week听
    • Registration has started听
    • Check out the MANY new classes online听
    • Committee looked over AP/IB/Cambridge test scores transfer policy听
    • Internships听
      • requirement now down from 12 to 8 weeks 听
      • Students with internships no longer have to meet weekly 听
    • Revaluating testing policies for international students听
      • Because some lower classes are still problematic for foreign students, they will now take a placement test upon coming to HDX 听
    • Reevaluating the Inclement Weather Policy听
    • Email LaRonda about any AP concerns (tell constituents)听
    • Will ask about search for new Chinese professor at the next meeting听

  • Student and Academic Concerns Committee with Emily and LaRonda 听
    • SAC will be forming a new IT committee (testing new email systems/giving feedback/etc)听
      • Email Desh if you would like to be a part of this!听
      • Tell constituents that they can serve on this committee

  • Communications Committee with Adelia Shiffraw听
    • I will send out notes within 24 hours of our meetings听
    • YOUR notes are due by Saturday at 12pm听
      • Feel free to personalize, but make sure the info is relevant for your constituents.听
      • Spell check please!听
    • Don鈥檛 forget to CC ADELIA SHIFFRAW, otherwise your notes don鈥檛 count.听
    • Old reps will send out notes until new reps have access听

  • Committee on Committees with Gabe Breshears听
    • Will soon be open filing for Committee Chairs, then sub committee chairs听
    • Be on the lookout for an email from Gabe tonight/Tell constituents:听
    • Open Filing for Treasurer starts TODAY and closes March 29th听
      • For anyone who is good with numbers/etc.听
    • Senior Senator filing also starts Today and will close March 29th听
      • Campaigning soon after听
      • Will be introducing a new incentive for running for class representative听
        • reps will get first choice pick of housing for their class 听

  • Executive Committee with Desh Deepak听
    • $15,000 rollover money from the Troubadour account needs to be spent听
      • (have spent ~$5,000 on new WAC outdoors equipment)听
      • current ideas include: Zip Car, senate sponsored sidewalk, laundry facilities听
        • there will be a Zip Car survey after break, it鈥檚 kind of expensive but it could work.听
